About Hope & Anchor

Located on Upper Street in the London Borough of Islington, The Hope & Anchor Public House was one of the birth canals of punk rock in the 1970s.   They were privy to punk rock before it was cool.  In such a vein, this blog and its author are privy to a lot of totally mind blowing shit before the populous has had a chance to chew it up and regurgitate it. It is an attempt to trend-spot, stay one step ahead, and be constantly discerning, edifying, and erudite about really awesome shit.

*DISCLAIMER*

The moment something is posted here it begins to depreciate in coolness in accordance with the laws of ephemera and new-and-used-car dynamics.

ºThe Hope & Anchor is still operating. You should pop in and say hi for me.º
